4 Moving Myths
Are you planning on moving anytime soon? Well, we all know moving can be stressful and we’re here to help. Here are four moving myths that could totally throw your moving days off track.
1. Free Moving Boxes
Boxes should never be used, large boxes that are hard to seal up after being filled. It’s well worth spending a few bucks on actual moving boxes, medium sized (so they don’t break open from weight), and all a uniform size for easy stacking.
2. Marking Boxes
Instead of using a simple old black marker, color code! This way you can color code for every room in the house. It doesn’t hurt to list the contents of the box and draw an arrow directing up for loading purposes.
3. Last Day Packing Items
Items such as medicine, toiletries, pet food, and a couple of days of clothing are left for the last day. You never know when you need these simple items at hand, you don’t want to be digging through just packed boxes.
4. Move on Friday
Moving on Friday just gives you the weekend to start unpacking. Winter and Fall is also less expensive and plan ahead by at least three to four weeks.
