Computer Hacker Scam Artists have hit the Real Estate Industry by storm. These Nerdy Ninjas are stealing Thousands of dollars from unsuspecting victims. They are hacking the emails of Realtors, Lenders, and Title Officers to discover when a closing is about to happen. They then email the future home owner or Seller posing as their trusted Real Estate Professional with false wiring instructions. The unsuspecting consumer then wires their hard earned money needed for their Real Estate transaction straight into the Hackers account. Never to be seen again in many cases.

If you are involved in a Real Estate Transaction and you receive an email that seems suspicious or involves a change to the wiring instructions- call the individual it supposedly came from (at a trusted number) immediately before taking any action. These Thieves are crafty and the email will probably look very legitimate. A phone call will only take a few minutes and could save you a ton of heartache.
